Raccoon Painting

I've been working on this and have got quite a lot done. Two of my artist friends suggested to title it "Apple of my Eye". I think that is a good title for it. I love this little coon and can't wait until I get him all done. I'm having a lot of fun painting this little guy. This painting is done in oil, size 6 x 8 on archival acid free gesso board.

Beautiful Judy, you have really captured the look of longing on his little face. I am really hoping he will reach the last apple :)

Thank you Lesley. The next painting I've planned is a happy face on this coon with the apple in his mouth... so yes, he does get the last apple. :-) I've alreay have the next painting drawn out with him and the apple. I'm contemplating a 3rd one of him but not sure on doing that one.

As a raccoon (and wildlife lover!) I am always searching new raccoon art and that's how I came across your blog...and your beautiful work! I'm not surprised your raccoons are quick sellers....anyone who knows the charms of a raccoon adores artwork like yours that captures it so well! Feel free to look to the pics of the kids of Rascal Rescue on The Laughing Raccoon if you need models! :)
