Black Bear and Cub

Here is my black bear painting. I did it for a competition for a black bear stamp. I did not win, however I came in 4th. I'm very pleased with how this painting turned out. This is size 8 x 10 and is on archival acid free gesso board.

Beautiful work as always Judy, well done on coming fourth. Cute baby bear and protective mother. You always paint such authentic backgrounds as well as correct animals. I would love to walk in those woods - when the bears have moved on of course! Lesley

Beautiful! Reminds me of Lily and Hope...the bears that had a live bear den cam over the winter. Lily gave birth and raised Hope in front of thousands of watchers! LOL It was amazing!

That is a very beautiful painting! I found your blog through Deanne's (Rascal Rescue's) blog. This painting really caught my eye. The other work must be out of this world because this is an amazing piece!
